Ms Chan Suk-fan is a well-known figure in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry, active in music and singing for 50 years, and has given more than 2,000 live performances. He has achieved brilliant achievements and has a great reputation in the entertainment industry. Ms. Chan is the President of Skystar Entertainment Limited.

In 1973, she was in charge of “Huaxing Entertainment Limited”, the first Chinese-run entertainment company to hire foreign singers to perform in Hong Kong, and Ms. Chan planned and organized countless internationally renowned singers to perform in Hong Kong. In 1976, he first founded the “Chinese Singer Solo Concert”.

 

In 1981, he established a record department and discovered newcomers Anita Mui, Zheng Xiuwen, Liming, Du Dewei, etc., making Huaxing the first local highest-selling Chinese-funded record company, and its singers were popular all over Southeast Asia.

 

In 1987, he founded “Stellar Entertainment”, in addition to holding large-scale concerts, and training singers and acting as artist managers, its basic artists include Leslie Cheung, Grasshopper, Shen Dianxia, Luo Wen, Wen Bixia, Chen Jieling, Yan Chuqian, Lizhi, Bo Annie, etc., other businesses include records, audio tapes, laser disc production and music rights management.

 

In 1993, he founded “Star Entertainment Limited” and hosted solo concerts by the famous Greek composer and piano player Yanni, the famous singer Leslie Cheung, Jacky Cheung, Grasshopper, Chow Wah Kin, Beyond and Lin Yilian. The 1995 Jacky Cheung World Tour completed 100 world tours in 11 months.

 

In December 1996, he held the “Leslie Cheung Crossing 97 Concert”, which was Leslie Cheung’s first solo concert after seven years away from the music scene, with 24 consecutive performances and a full house. Subsequently, Ms. Chen led the team on a world tour with more than 60 concerts.

 

In March 1997, Jacky Cheung’s creative musical “Snow Wolf Lake” premiered in Hong Kong to rave reviews and was performed 43 times at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom. In November 1997, he moved to Singapore to perform. The Chinese version of “Snow Wolf Lake” kicked off its global tour at the Capital Stadium in Beijing, China in December 2004, and successfully concluded its 103rd performance at the same venue in January 2006, becoming the focus of global Chinese attention.

 

On July 1, 1997, when Hong Kong returned to the motherland, Ms. Chan Shu-fan was invited by the “Hong Kong Handover Celebration Committee” to serve as a consultant for the handover program, and negotiated and invited the world-renowned Chinese composer and conductor Tan Dun to compose the symphony “Tian. Earth. and invited the internationally renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma to play, and the famous Hong Kong artist Jacky Cheung to lead the singing. Ms Chan was commissioned by the HKC to plan a 96-hour satellite programme to broadcast the Beijing and Hong Kong handover celebrations to the world. Since then, in 1999, 2009 and 2019, on the occasion of the 50th, 60th and 70th anniversaries of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he was invited by the “Preparatory Committee for Hong Kong Compatriots to Celebrate National Day” to coordinate and produce the Gala held at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom, inviting Chinese mainland and Hong Kong superstars to participate in the performance.

 

In September 1997, he arranged for Zhou Huacheng to become the first Hong Kong artist to hold a solo concert in Chinese mainland after the return of Hong Kong. Later, he brought more outstanding artists and more wonderful concerts to the Chinese mainland audience, and often invited new mainland singers and famous Hong Kong singers to cooperate on stage.

 

In 1999, he held 30 solo concerts for Jacky Cheung at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong, the first time in Hong Kong to adopt the most powerful laser effect, the first in Southeast Asia to adopt the latest technology American computer lighting and the most professional large-scale audio combination in the United States. The Hong Kong concert was followed by a world tour, with more than 60 performances completed in five months.

 

In 2000, he held Leslie Cheung’s “Hot. Love Concert”, which has toured Hong Kong and around the world, including a record number of concerts by Chinese singers in Japan. He also won the Ming Pao Weekly Tribute Award and the first Chinese Chinese Pop Music Best Concert Award.

 

In 2007, he once again planned the “Alumni Lightyear World Tour” for Jacky Cheung, which achieved 105 performances in 53 cities around the world in 12 months.

 

In 2008, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Leslie Cheung’s death, Chan Shu-fan held two “Miss You Much Leslie Continue to Pamper Concerts” at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom on 31 March and 1 April to commemorate the irreplaceable generation of superstars and invited dozens of Leslie Cheung’s former singers and actor friends to perform.

 

In April 2009, he held the “Grasshopper Forget Me Concert” in Hong Kong and arranged to tour other areas, and in 2010, he held the concert “25 Grasshopper Concert” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of grasshopper.

 

 

In 2010, the world tour of “Jacky Cheung 1/2nd Century Concert” kicked off in Shanghai, and in 17 months until 2012, 146 performances were held in 77 cities around the world, performing for more than 2.8 million people, setting a number of brilliant records. In addition to breaking the record for the number of concerts in a single tour held by Jacky Cheung himself, the tour also set the Guinness World Record for “the largest number of live spectators on tour in 12 months”. In addition, it also won the “Best Performance Management Award of the Year” at the “Chinese Golden Melody Awards 2012”.

 

In 2013, Leslie Cheung, a superstar who died 10 years ago, held the “Continue to Pamper. Ten-year commemoration. The series of commemorative events included: “Continue to Pamper. Decade. concerts”, with global broadcasts; April 1st’s “Keep Pampering. Decade. Commemorative Gala”, so that fans can gather together to remember their idol Leslie Cheung; “Continue to Pamper. Decade. In the commemorative exhibition, Leslie Cheung’s fans from all over the world joined forces to fold 1,956,912 paper cranes to break the “Guinness World Record” – the largest paper crane exhibition.

 

On June 1, 2013, the “Pistachio Always Miss You Concert” was held at Shen Dianxia to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the death of his friend.

 

In 2015, Ms. Chan Shu-fan adapted the classic work “Fengyun” by renowned Hong Kong cartoonist Ma Wing-shing to create a new “Fengyun 5D Creative Musical” with a team of local producers in Hong Kong, which premiered at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom from April to July 2017, and then performed in many cities in the Mainland. The show won the Best Stage Creative and Stunt Effects Award at the AEG Music Channel Top 10 Most Popular Concert Awards & Music Awards 2017.

 

In December 2017, Ms. Chen Shufen collaborated with Nanjing University of the Arts to establish the first musical theatre school in the Mainland, “Nanyi Tian Xing Musical Theatre Academy”, and was invited to become a trustee of Nanjing University of the Arts. Skystar Entertainment Limited has set up the “Skystar Musical Talent Development Foundation” and the “Chen Shufen Musical Theatre Scholarship” to jointly promote the development of Chinese musical theater talent cultivation, so that Chinese creative musicals can enter the international stage.

In 2020, affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic around the world, Ms. Chen Shufen participated in the YouTube channel “Health Dan” established by a number of senior media professionals to produce health information programs. On 12 April 2020, “Health Dan” held the “2020 Hui Guanjie Together Online Concert” and on May 9, 2020, the “Kwok Fucheng Inspiration, Get Motivated Online Charity Concert” to cheer up Hong Kong citizens and the world, and provide opportunities for employees in the performance industry who have been suspended for a long time to resume work, as well as raise funds for a group of grassroots employees in the entertainment industry who have lost their jobs due to the epidemic. April 1, 2021 marks the 18th anniversary of Leslie Cheung’s death, “Health. Dan” hosted the online concert “Thinking of You, Leslie Cheung”, which was watched by a global audience through seven major electronic media in Hong Kong and 94 platforms in various regions around the world, with a catalogue of more than 20 million viewers. Over HK$1.8 million was raised from the event, all of which were donated to charities without deduction.

 

On October 18, 2022, the 20th anniversary of the death of Hong Kong music master “Rowan”, in order to commemorate the wish of this good friend and his family, Ms. Chan Shu-fan and several Rowan friends jointly held the “Rowan Legacy – City Commemorative Concert”, which was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom on October 15, 2022.

 

Ms. Chen Shufen was awarded the “Performance Industry Honorary Contribution Award” by AEG Music Channel in 2017, the “China Performance Outstanding Contribution Award” by the China Performance Industry Association in 2018 and hired as a consultant of the Actor’s Agents Committee of the China Performance Industry Association, and the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Guangdong Performance Industry Association in 2019. With 50 years of experience in the acting industry, Ms. Chan Shu-fen has long established an excellent reputation in the entertainment industry, whether it is a Hong Kong singer or a world-famous superstar artist, she has established a solid and stable confidence in the concerts and artist training she has planned and produced, because of this confidence, entertainers from all walks of life have appreciated and valued her achievements over the years, and through her unique achievements, the cultural exchanges and music industry between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong have narrowed the distance and created a new peak!
